Description

Sords - Sato - Overly in performances of works by Herald, Moszkowski, Sarasate, Vivaldi, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, and Bach with DeCCO. "[Sords and Sato] brought a restrained clarity and a vigorous punch to the surprisingly ebullient and quick-witted Finale. The jewel of the set was the Intermezzo, where the performers plumbed its profound depths." - ClevelandClassical.com Andrew Sords has been soloist with over 300 orchestras on 4 continents, and recent débuts include appearances in Montréal, Glasgow, Sydney, Vancouver, and Los Angeles. Along with pianist Daniel Overly, the duo performed on Chicago's WFMT - Live from the Ravinia Festival and San Miguel de Allende's (Mexico) ProMusica Series. Sords has been profiled by NPR's "Morning Edition", STRINGS Magazine, Australia's 3MBS, and Sirius XM's "The Derek and Romaine Show". For over 2 decades, Mari Sato was a member of the acclaimed Cavani String Quartet and on the faculty at The Cleveland Institute of Music.
