Company Description The Schuyler Yacht Basin is in the historic village of Schuylerville, New York situated at the confluence of the Hudson River and Fish Creek. SYB is a multifunctional resort offering seasonal or transient boat slips, RV campsites, and our own shipping container tiny cabins. We also offer small watercraft rentals including Old Town canoes, kayaks and Surftech paddleboards perfect for exploring the local waterways. It is our mission to provide a unique and fun resort experience for those seeking to explore upstate New York and all the activities that it has to offer. Primarily, the river provides for a multitude of water recreation opportunities. In addition, being located just south of the Adirondack State Park and West of the Green Mountain National Forest in Vermont there are many options for exploring hiking opportunities, biking, or just taking in the stunning landscapes. Given our premium location we are the perfect launching point for any number of adventures. Worthy of attention the proximity to downtown Saratoga Springs and the Saratoga Racecourse is a notable draw for visitors to come and enjoy while the stay with us. Only a 15–20-minute drive you can spend the day betting on horses and engrossing yourself in the fanfare that is this celebrated town. Job Description The Schuyler Yacht Basin is in search of candidates to fill the part/full time role of housekeeper for the 2021 summer season (potential to become year-round). This position includes the cleaning and maintenance of the newly built shipping container cabins. Laundering of the linens and remaking of the bedding falls under this job role. Also involved will be the disposal of any trash, sanitizing all usable surfaces and restocking the amenities. The person in this position will complete the necessary task within a timeframe during the mid-day hours (11am – 3pm). This position is expected to meet the standards outlined by the director of operations of cleanliness/ sanitation, organization, and restocking. Included in the responsibilities of this role is the cleaning and maintenance of the communal shower/bathroom facilities provided on the property for general guests use. Finally, any damage or necessary maintenance is to be reported to the director of operation in order for it to be dealt with accordingly. Job Responsibilities • Remove any trash or leftover belongings from the previous guest • Clean and Sanitize all usable surfaces inside the accommodation including the bathroom facilities • Remove used linens and bedding and replace with fresh clean ones • Check for any damage or missing items • Vacuum and mop the floor • Replace any of the amenities provided i.e., toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, soaps etc. • Close and lock all the opened windows and doors • Clean and restock the communal bathrooms on the property • Punctuality • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner Qualifications • Previous professional cleaning experience (preferred) • Knowledge of cleaning supplies (preferred) • Cleaning implements use (preferred) • References from previous employer or customer • Transportation to and from work Compensation $25 per unit cleaned DOE Schedule At least 24 hours per week but will fluctuate depending on the seasonal demand of the resort.
