Join the New City Summer Kickback Street team as they share their visions of peace, make models of them and discover connections to others. Activating peace and embracing joy are challenges that require intentional actions that are consistent, persistent, and resistant. These actions must be taken systemically and individually. When we, as individuals, are committed to acting in a manner that promotes peace, we create the proper atmosphere to implement systemic changes. Experiencing peace frees the heart to embrace the joy that can be found when we learn to look for it. The biggest stumbling block for people to accept this is the inability to SEE the possibilities through the daily challenges. The Pass It On! Visualization Workshop will make visible the many ways people see peace and joy. By sharing it with others, we begin to find ways to make it real. LevelUP IRL is a Chicago Makerspace committed to helping young people level up their skills in real life by MAKING to Learn and LEARNING to Make. We offer after school programs, summer camps, workshops, mobile pop-ups, and community activations. We are also the home of the Chicago Knights Robotics. LevelUP Robotics, and 3PO robotics teams.
