Ranch-Hand Position in the Round Mountain area of Central Texas We are looking for a full time Ranch/Grounds Maintenance Hand on a private ranch in the Hill Country. Ranch land totaling 3400 acres Recreational and conservation ranch land with no livestock Interface with the ranch owners and other staff members Previous Ranch-hand experience preferred Minimum Education: High School degree Annual salary commensurate with experience and education No housing provided Health Insurance and 401K Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Upkeep of lawns, gardens, and exteriors of several ranch buildings • Repairing fences, filling, and maintaining deer feeders, feral animal control (pig trapping) • Maintain several miles of walking trails • Perform general maintenance duties • Brush control and tree trimming • Application of herbicides to manage habitat Qualifications: • Must have proof of Covid Vaccination • Nonsmoking • Possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions and be able to lift a minimum of 80 pounds • Must be able to operate and maintain a chainsaw, weed eater, and lawnmower. The ability to operate a tractor and skid steer a plus. • Have a keen eye for detail • Demonstrate safe practices and always comply with ranch rules • Maintain employer confidence by keeping information confidential • Must pass a background check
