This workshop is appropriate for anyone wishing to broaden their knowledge about accessible trails including both agency staff & volunteers Accessible Trail ConstructionStudents will be introduced to the Forest Service Trail Accessibility Guidelines (FSTAG). A review of the technical requirements for an accessible trail including exceptions and exclusions will occur. Individuals will participate in the design and construction of an aggregate surfaced accessible trail.This workshop will occur in Reno at the Rancho San Rafael Regional Park from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Regional Trail Training Program (RTTP) is a partnership between Nevada State Parks, American Trails, and Chinook Associates to provide a series of workshops that focus on stewardship skills and program development for trail organizations. The shared goal for implementing these workshops is to create a sustainable model for training trail stewards that ultimately results in increased stewardship efforts for current and future trails throughout Nevada.
