This workshop is appropriate for anyone wishing to broaden their knowledge about trail maint mgt including both agency staff and volunteer Trail Maintenance ManagementThis workshop builds upon the Intro to Trail Maintenance Management. A discussion resulting in draft maintenance guidelines will occur. Students will develop elements of and complete a trail inventory. A trail inspection and a condition assessment of an existing trail will occur. Using different document templates individual projects and a workplan will be developed.Content• Elements of a trail inventory• Condition assessments and trail inspections• Developing maintenance guidelines • Creating annual workplansThe workshop will occur in Carson City at the Community Center from 8:00 am to Noon. The Regional Trail Training Program (RTTP) is a partnership between Nevada State Parks, American Trails, and Chinook Associates to provide a series of workshops that focus on stewardship skills and program development for trail organizations. The shared goal for implementing these workshops is to create a sustainable model for training trail stewards that ultimately results in increased stewardship efforts for current and future trails throughout Nevada.
