This workshop is appropriate for anyone wishing to broaden their knowledge about crew leadership including both agency staff and volunteers. Trail Crew Leader Training Leadership SkillsThis module is the first of two modules developed for of Crew Leadership. It introduces students to the role of a crew leader and desirable leadership qualities. Individuals will participate in interactive sessions that will include: Communication, Learning Styles, Conflict Resolution and Risk Management as they relate to trail crew dynamics. This workshop is a recommended prerequisite for the Trail Crew Leader Training (Field Skills).Content• Crew Leader role• Effective listening and communication• Visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles• Worksite and tool safetyThis workshop will occur at the Carson City Community Center from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm The Regional Trail Training Program (RTTP) is a partnership between Nevada State Parks, American Trails, and Chinook Associates to provide a series of workshops that focus on stewardship skills and program development for trail organizations. The shared goal for implementing these workshops is to create a sustainable model for training trail stewards that ultimately results in increased stewardship efforts for current and future trails throughout Nevada.
