Join members of the AAAC for 2 Events - an Afternoon Discussion @ 1pm and an Evening Social @ 7pm with a performance by Bobby Watson! ​ Artwork by Michael Brantley I Am , oil on canvas The African American Artists Collective’s Testimony: The Misrepresentation of Black Men and Boys is a ten-month series of conversations dedicated to information, respect, and progress. We will gain insight from Black men and boys about misrepresentation and what it takes to navigate the real world, maneuver through negative situations, and maintain a healthy mental, physical, and spiritual existence. Each daytime conversation (1:00-2:30pm) is followed by an evening social (7:00-9:00pm) that connects individuals and organizations dedicated to making progress on the topics discussed. There are 2 ticket options if only attending 1 event. The August 12th evening social will include a live performance by Bobby Watson and art from the members of the African American Artists Collective. The AAAC invites local business, community, and educational organizations to register groups to attend. Seating is limited and available at no cost.
