Description

We are joining communities across the US in making felt roses as part of a COVID Memorial collaborative art piece, the Rose River Memorial. Help support the Rose River Memorial project by creating felt roses. Each rose represents a person in Missouri that has died from COVID. Roses will be created, customized, and displayed together as a powerful public memorial this September at Crown Center in Kansas City. Your ticket includes all supplies needed, as well as wine and light snacks. Bring a friend and be part of an amazing community project. Each participant will hand sew or glue10 roses. Due to KCMO ordinances, all participants will be required to wear masks, and hand sanitizer will be offered throughout the workshop. For more information or questions, reach out to [email protected]. To see other community installations, visit www.roseriver.memorial. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit creative reuse center and retail store, ScrapsKC cares for Kansas City's environment, education and homeless through creative reuse.
