Adverse Reactions to Covid Vaccine

My buddy's uncle got the vaccine and now his blood cells have developed a "protein wall" around them and his body is attacking itself. He's severely sick and hasn't left the hospital in two weeks. Anybody else here heard of crazy reactions like that? I thought these shots are supposed to be "perfectly safe"? A perfectly healthy 15 year old local kid died two days after receiving his first covid vaccine shot recently. I was about to get my first shot in the near future as well since I really enjoy music and all of the concert venues are mandating that, but I'm not a gambler and still don't know of anyone that has died of covid anyways.
