Description
Heirloom Rustic Ales releases "Behold the Ghosts" Not even ghosts are as scary as Sundays. Unlike other Sundays, on August 22 Posca Lora, Heirloom Rustic Ales, and Natsukashii are hosting a one night only pop-up natural wine bar. We at Posca Lora are beyond excited to announce our first event and collaboration with Heirloom Rustic Ales and Natsukashii (chef Colin and Marco of Vintage Kitchen). For just one night, Heirloom will become a Posca Lora-run wine bar serving 6 incredibly delicious and rare wines you won’t find anywhere else plus an exclusive first release of Behold the Ghosts, a natural wine made right here in Oklahoma. This will be a private event and you can register for free. All wines will be available for purchase to go and you won’t want to miss a chance to get a bottle or 2 of the less than 5 cases available of Behold the Ghosts. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Behold the Ghosts is a light sparkling wine of Norton grapes. The Norton grapes harvested for this wine were grown in central Oklahoma from vines that are 15 years old and dry farmed. Minimal chemicals are used during the farming cycle, and conscientious effort is made to keep the canopy leafier than other growing regions allowing for longer hang times during brutal Oklahoma summers. The grapes that make up Behold the Ghosts were harvested in September of 2020 at 24 brix. They were immediately put under a light blanket of CO2 pressure, which was maintained for 2 weeks. The grapes were then foot-pressed and free-run juice was collected for fermentation. No sulfur, yeast, or any other additives were added at any point, and only the naturally occurring yeasts on the grapes were responsible for fermentation. The wine was aged on the lees for 9 months before encouraging a second fermentation in the bottle for a slight carbonation. This wine has beautiful acid, saturating grape-y aromatics, and lively tannins from the stems and the foot press. Less than 5 cases exists and will be sold this one night only. Come hungry and thirsty. We can’t wait to see you there!!! Photo by Brooke Allen Photo by Brooke Allen Photo by Brooke Allen
