Truck Driver Incentives: Year Round Work Great Home Time: Home every night Additional training for all employees Paid Time Off (PTO) & Holiday Pay Great Benefits: Premera Health care, plus Dental, Vision, Life 401(k) Profit Sharing option YMCA Membership discount Responsibilities include: -Conducts daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle, trailer and equipment inspections and completes driver's checklist in Fleetio. -Loads and unloads equipment in a safe manner by always utilizing the help of a second person, and ensures equipment is correctly secured on trailers. -Practices safe driving skills in all operating conditions (including "4 second rule") following all vehicular safety regulations and consistently using spotters. -Recognizes mechanical issues as they develop with engine, brakes and electrical systems and takes action when necessary to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage; reports maintenance needed and/or any damage to their Superintendent, Foreman and Shop Foreman. -Responsible for ensuring material is loaded safely and efficiently (ensures not overweight, no debris, etc.) and safely transports to jobsites and/or plants. -Can follow GPS and get to job sites and to material sources in a timely manner. -Spreads and dumps gravel efficiently; spots truck into paver and places material as directed. -Performs non-driving, general labor duties as needed and/or directed. -Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures; wears required PPE. Requirements: -Must have a CDL Class A. -Knowledge and ability to use GPS devices. -Follows all DOT requirements and traffic regulations. -Ability to work as part of a team. -Ability to work weekends and occasional nights. -Ability to travel to various worksites. -Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.
