Peabody Students Honored At Bryant, Lasell, Tufts

PEABODY, MA — These Peabody students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction at colleges and universities across the nation. Bryant University recognizes the students who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and achievement. Alyssa Rice, class of 2021, has been named to the President's List for the spring 2021 semester. The President's List is an academic distinction reserved for Bryant's highest achievers who earn a GPA of 4.0 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work. Tufts University recently named its Dean's List for the Spring 2021 semester, including Peabody students Jeremy Levine and Andrew Langley. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater. The Lasell University Spring Symposium, "The Invention of Now," was held at the end of the semester to showcase student scholarship in various fields and present research projects to the greater community. The following Peabody students presented work: Brianna Ricker presented the latest issue of Polished, a student-run magazine focused on Boston's fashion and cultural scene. Polished has received numerous awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association in their Gold Circle and Silver Circle categories and is recognized as one of the leading collegiate publications in the country. Ricker was the issue's art editor. Jaqueline Cordeiro presented the latest issue of Polished, a student-run magazine focused on Boston's fashion and cultural scene. Polished has received numerous awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association in their Gold Circle and Silver Circle categories and is recognized as one of the leading collegiate publications in the country. Cordeiro was one of the issue's media directors. Sofia Rodriguez studied various aspects of personality from a psychological perspective and created a resource, presented at Symposium, designed to help others achieve happiness or fulfill a goal in their lives. Rodriguez conducted a review of three studies on extraversion and introversion. The Spring Connected Learning Symposium is one of two annual research symposia held at Lasell University. Student presentations provide scholarly insights into a variety of industry topics, and showcase practical skills and career competencies across those industries.
