NEW BERLIN, WI — The highly infectious delta variant of COVID-19 has caused a surge in positive cases and hospitalizations in the U.S. and Wisconsin. Many companies, schools and hospital systems are requiring employees and students to get vaccinated.
Waukesha County has a "high" virus transmission rate, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Residents should be masking while indoors, according to new agency guidelines.
Wisconsinites 12 and older are eligible for vaccination, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services said.
