ROUND ROCK, TX — A suspect who investigators connected to the killing of a Round Rock man was found dead the same day as the killing, authorities said Friday. The man, whose identity has yet to be revealed, was found dead in the victim's car around 7:20 p.m. on Monday in southern Travis County, Round Rock police said. The victim was identified as Joseph White, 40, of Pflugerville. Authorities said they discovered the man was the 40-year-old's brother-in-law and believe him to be the lone suspect in the homicide. Officials believe the cause of the suspect's death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect's official cause of death is pending a final medical examiner's report from the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office, authorities said. Police received a 911 call around 6:30 a.m. Monday near the 16900 block of north Interstate Highway 35 and State Highway 45, south of Aspen University. Authorities believed he was shot by people occupying a pickup truck that left the scene. Police later identified the victim as White, who was a Pflugerville resident.
