The City of Coppell was recently made aware of the arrest of a city employee on charges that he illegally placed recording equipment in his Hickory Creek home. Mr. Simpkins has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case. Mr. Simpkins has been a city employee for the past 13 years and most recently served as Captain in the Emergency Management Division of the Coppell Fire Department.
