Press release from City of San Ramon: 08/05/2021 City of San Ramon News & Information Update Thu, Aug 5, 2021 San Ramon's popular Summer Concert in the Park Series concludes this Sunday, August 8 with Mustache Harbor (pictured) playing smooth Yacht Rock at the Central Park Amphitheater (12501 Alcosta Blvd) beginning at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free; food from Golden Gate Gyro and El Gran Taco Loco, wine, beer, soda, and water will be available for purchase. Bring a blanket or low-back lawn chair and be ready to rock the night away! Please be considerate and set up shade tents and umbrellas at the top of the hill to avoid impeding the view of others. The Summer Concert Series is sponsored by the City of San Ramon, Chevron, and the San Ramon Arts Foundation. > More Information on Summer Concerts San Ramon's Citizen's Planning Academy returns this fall! This free 5-week course will be held at City Hall on Monday evenings beginning September 13, offering an overview of why cities plan, how planning shapes the community, and the land use planning process. The course concludes with a Mock Planning Commission Meeting, where the participants serve as the Planning Commission, developers, and residents. Following the course, class participants will be formally recognized at a City Council meeting. Starting at the Amador Rancho Community Center (1998 Rancho Park Loop) at 8 a.m., participants will hike approximately 2.25 miles and take in the beautiful views of the ravine and surrounding neighborhoods. The trail is almost entirely paved, so please wear appropriate footwear. Dogs are allowed and must be leashed at all times. Pass2Class (formerly known as SchoolPool and Student Transit Ticket Program) offers free bus passes to Contra Costa students at the beginning of the school year to encourage the use of bus transportation to and from school. Pass2Class reduces traffic congestion and air pollution by reducing the number of cars being driven to school. Up to two months of rides on Tri Delta Transit, WestCAT, County Connection, or AC Transit are being offered for the 2021/2022 school year to help students as they return to in-person learning. Apply now; passes are available while supplies last, limit two (2) students per household. > Learn More and Apply Contra Costa workplaces and community groups looking to get vaccinated can request a free visit from Contra Costa Health Services' mobile COVID-19 vaccine service. If your group wants to fully enjoy the benefits of vaccination, but not everybody has had the opportunity to get a vaccine, now is a great time to schedule a visit to your location within the county from our new, no-cost mobile service. Your group or business just needs at least five vaccine-eligible people who want to get vaccinated, but they do not have to live in Contra Costa County, and there is no upper limit to the number of people who can get a vaccine. Use the convenient online form to request a visit or call 1-833-829-2626.
