PITTSBURGH, PA — A South Side man has been charged with criminal homicide in connection with the beating death of his mother.
Michael Hensley is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
Hensley called police Monday morning claiming he found his mother unresponsive after she overdosed on heroin. When police arrived, they found Annette Morros, 66, dead in the living room of the Sarah Street apartment she shared with her son.
Police noted that Hensley's hands appeared to be swollen and covered in dried blood.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office determined that Morros died of blunt force trauma and ruled her death a homicide.
