3 Injured In Rollover Police Chase Crash In Echo Park

LOS ANGELES, CA — A police chase in Echo Park came to a dramatic end when the suspect crashed into a pair of utility poles and flipped over Thursday afternoon. Three people were suffered traumatic injuries in the crash and two more were arrested by police. The chase began in Glendale where officers attempted a traffic stop on a silver sedan, KTLA reported. Instead of stopping, the suspect fled at high speeds through Atwater Village and Echo Park before losing control and crashing near Glendale Boulevard and Berkeley Avenue at about 5:25 p.m. That #pursuit crash was one for the books! @ABC7 pic.twitter.com/cVDznujdpb— LA Police Pursuits (@LAPolicePursuit) August 6, 2021 The car rolled over onto its roof and five occupants exited, surrendering to police shortly afterward.Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene to evaluate the five occupants and ultimately took three of them to a hospital "with traumatic injuries," according to Margaret Stewart of the LAFD.
