CANYON COUNTRY, CA — Los Angeles County firefighters battled a small brush fire in the Canyon Country area Friday afternoon amid hot, dry conditions. The blaze started shortly after noon Friday and quickly scorched four acres in the Forrest Park area of Los Angeles County near Canyon Country. The fire, dubbed the Vasquez Fire, briefly threatened one structure, but crews were able to protect it. ** UPDATE ** #VasquezFire is currently 3-4 acres.
