DARIEN, IL — A security camera at a house in the 1500 block of Darien Lake Drive went missing on a recent day, but officers didn't have to look far to solve the crime, Darien police said. According to a police report, officers were called to what was labeled a neighbor dispute about 4 p.m. July 28. A woman told police her security camera went missing. When speaking with her, officers saw a dismounted security camera in Griffin's garage, the report said. The woman's neighbor, William Griffin Sr., 59, was charged with theft. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
