We have a vacancy in our team for a janitor to work in several buildings. You will perform a variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the buildings looking perfect. To work well in this role, you should have basic maintenance knowledge around building repairs and experience cleaning. Job duties include maintaining common areas, salons, offices, and work areas. This will include maintaining the grounds, including daily trash pickup. The right person should have some general maintenance experience and assist maintenance staff. This person will also be responsible for assisting with housekeeping and laundry during the busy summer season. Skill Requirements Occupational-Specific: Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. and performing heavy labor throughout an 8-hour shift. Technical Skills: Training provided. Operate carpet cleaner/extractor, vacuum, wet/dry shop vacuum, buffer/polisher, pressure washer, lawnmower, weed trimmer, and snow removal equipment. Knowledge of cleaning solutions and solvents. Personal & Professional: Good listening and oral communication skills are imperative. Must be reliable, detail-oriented, have the great ability to follow instructions, efficient, and eager to learn new skills. Task Description Clean and maintain commercial office spaces and salons. Maintain and control inventory; Clean condo windows/patio doors and windows; Assist housekeeping staff and clean carpets; Move furniture; Vacuum hallways and clean buildings, as needed; Keep grounds well maintained; Clean and wax floors in the salons; Hang and repair curtains; Other duties as assigned Other general maintenance experience is a huge plus.
