Having played with Locomotion on & off for almost 10 years, I can tell you several things.... Depending on the gig, they wear shirts with ties. No T-shirts & jeans. The gigs almost always pay better than that standard $100 per member. The band will, on occasion, employ show-band songs and children's music. Sing-alongs (think Lion King) aren't uncommon. The band plays VFW & Lion's Club family/picnic events. Those venues regularly call them to come play. Some band members (myself included) can seem demanding, but when there's a certain level of competence expected, one kinda needs to deliver. And myself, having been in the band (and will probably be again), appreciate that level of expectation. Because it makes me play that much better. Their requests in that ad aren't ridiculous. Considering some of the candidates that have showed up, a vetting process isn't a bad idea.
