RWC Building Products, a regional distributor of building materials, is searching for a full-time, responsible Material Handler. Applicants should have forklift experience, but we can train the right candidate. You will receive $250 after 90 days then $250 after 180 days. Total $500 Sign-in Bonus! Position Title: Material Handler Hourly Pay: $17.00 Job Summary: A Material Handler, will handles, moves and stores various non-hazardous and hazardous materials. Main duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders. Duties/Responsibilities: • Experience in a physically-demanding, labor-intensive position lifting up to 80-100 lbs. properly, repeatedly and on a daily basis • Previous experience in order selection, receiving, loading and unloading roofing material is desirable • Will be working on roofs and must not have a fear of heights • Operate a forklift and hand controls in a safe manner • Must have basic math skills for inventory counts; verbal and written skills to be able to read purchase orders and communicate with team members • Be reliable, safe and a team player • Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries • Performs general facility cleanup and other duties as assigned • Comply with all safety rules and guidelines Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and climb ladders throughout shift • Forklift experience preferred or will be trained • Strong work ethic and positive attitude • Ability to work weekends/overtime • Deadline and Detail-oriented • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation Physical/Work Environment: Please note this is not a warehouse position. This position requires the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions as well as on rooftops.
