The Florida Department of Health in Orange County presents the “It’s ALL about the ROOTS, baby!” Maternal and Child Health Summit. The Florida Department of Health in Orange County presents the “It’s ALL about the ROOTS, baby!” Maternal and Child Health SummitOur goal is to nourish roots by reducing health disparities, increasing health equity, and addressing social determinants of health in hopes to improve the health and well-being of moms, babies, and families in Orange County, FL. Therefore, we invite all moms, moms to be, women who are planning pregnancy, as well as mom and baby supporters to a day of learning and empowerment. Participants will have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and techniques to help moms and babies, such as: breastfeeding and nutrition, safe sleep & shaken baby syndrome, pool safety & poison control, car seat safety, and much more. If you are a mom, or soon to be mom, please join us. We highly recommend you bring a family or friend who will support you in your journey of motherhood. Referrals are highly recommended so please refer a friend or family member who is soon to be a mom or is a mom of an infant. Your referrals will be rewarded. Registration requirements: Orange County Florida resident, mom to be, mom of an infant 12 months of age or younger, family/friends of mom or mom to be. Please note: Pre-screening registration is required. Space is limited based on eligibility. Questions?
