About CRIS: Community Refugee & Immigration Services (CRIS) is an independent non-profit organization and refugee resettlement agency that resettles individuals and families from all over the world and serves the growing refugee and immigrant populations in Central Ohio with a tremendous amount of programs. About the CRIS Mentorship Program: Our mentorship program provides New Americans support and engagement on a personal level, helping them advance socially, emotionally, and academically as they transition to life in Columbus. Both mentors and mentees benefit from this relationship, creating strong, long lasting bonds through the exchange of personal and cultural experiences. On a broader scale, this program helps create a safer, more welcoming place for New Americans to call home. Consider becoming a mentor here. About Columbus Gives Back: Columbus Gives Back coordinates group volunteer events with local non-profits, organizes philanthropic happy hours to raise support and awareness for our non-profit partners, and participates in other philanthropic events while emphasizing our social twist: to have fun with volunteers new and old during and after events in the hopes of creating a culture of community engagement amongst our target audience of young professionals. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local! As of May1st, outdoor social twists will be coordinated at the discretion of event leaders and volunteers. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your event leader or [email protected].
