A folk-rock picnic on the Lawn, BYOB Signature Sounds recording artist Matthew Fowler and Double Diamond will perform outside the BarN at 1401 Green River Road on Sunday, September 12 at 6 pm -- a perfect way to replenish our souls. Karl Mullen, Sarah McNair, and Jackie Sedlock kick things off as families spread out on the grass. They'll play Double Diamond favorites from the before-times as well as new tunes written and recorded during the pandemic. For the entree, Matthew Fowler -- who has opened for Richard Thompson, Damien Jurado, The Weepies, and more -- will regale us with his "flawlessly raw but organic voice, intricate melodies, compelling musicianship and overwhelmingly rich and rootsy sound." Hailed by PBS and NPR as talented beyond his years, Fowler has a brand-spanking new album, "The Grief We Gave Our Mother," the focus of his nationwide tour. Here listen.
