Join us for an exciting workshop designed to help educators inspire kids with the promise of college! Think 4th grade is too early to start planning for college? Neither do we. That's why we created "Believing the College Dream," so you can start talking to your middle schoolers now. "Believing the College Dream" helps 4th through 8th grade students and their families by: Showing them that going to college is within their graspHelping them believe in themselves and their ability to succeed in schoolTeaching them how to identify people they can trust to support their journey in educationGiving families and communities tools, information and the college-bound attitude they need to support their childrenWe created Believing the College Dream for teachers, counselors and community-based organizations—anyone who is working to open the door to higher education for college hopefuls. (While this is geared toward educators serving 4th - 8th graders, this information can also be relevant to educators serving high schoolers too!) 8:30 AM - Registration 9:00 AM - Welcome & Introductions 9:30 AM - Introductory Activities Who are the Copilots in My Life?
