Come hear about the amazing power of trees for healing and protection. Thomas will share stories about tree spirit encounters. Thomas Freese, psychic/author/storyteller/artist will speak about trees, the “Standing People.” The Standing People—trees—are our planetary partners in healing. Thomas Freese has worked with wood for over 30 years, crafting a line of jewelry, wood wands, spoons and ornaments. Trees and wood have many properties to share, similar to the metaphysical offerings of stones and crystals. Thomas will bring his wood crafts and share some of the wisdom of woods. As a wand maker, Thomas Freese has researched the metaphysical properties of various trees. His book, Tree Spirits and Wood Wisdom, is a helpful resource with testimonials from folks who have used his wands, and with an index connecting healing and mind/body issue with the particular trees that can help with those concerns. “I’ve worked with 90 different woods and each one carries unique energies. Each piece of wood offers the spiritual connection to the whole living tree.” His book and his presentation speak about our intimate connection with trees and their inward spirits. Trees contribute so much to our very survival, in more ways than we often acknowledge. speaker: Thomas Freese, a talented artist, author, professional storyteller, musician and intuitive. He also holds a MA in Expressive Therapies with dual licensure as counselor and art therapist (LPCC, ATR-BC). Thomas has authored 11 books and 200 articles and reviews and has a line of wood art including spoons, jewelry, ornaments and wands. Thomas also works as a teaching artist through various programs in schools, libraries, assisted living, children’s homes and other venues. **We reccomend that attendees bring a lawn chair. ***Meeting location is the Outdoor Patio at the Center for Techology, Innovation & Manufacturing Building, on the VUJC campus.
