He also runs the agency’s economic forecasting projects, which include employment projections, population forecast, and modeling economic risk. His research areas focus on macroeconomic issues, including the interaction between monetary policy and labor markets, demographics and migration trends, and business cycle analysis. Prior to joining IDOL, Sam earned degrees in mathematics and economics from Eastern Washington University.
