AO4E August Retreat Join LEE LA in an afternoon of snacks, casual conversation, and an opportunity to meet IRL the folks we call fami-LEE. Agenda : En la primavera del año 2015, cientos de miembros de los ELL y líderes de la comunidad formaron Angelenos Organizing for Education (AO4E) para organizar e impulsar cambios en las políticas que afectan a los niños y las comunidades en las que viven. En aquel entonces, AO4E y una coalición de aliados ganaron financiamiento de la Ciudad de Los Angeles para contratar a personas que controlan el tránsito en 65 escuelas primarias adicionales en el año escolar 2015-2016. En 2016, los miembros de AO4E participaron en la exitosa campaña para aprobar la Proposición 55 para mantener el financiamiento para la educación pública de California. In the spring of 2015, hundreds of LEE members and community leaders formed Angelenos Organizing for Education (AO4E) to organize and advocate for changes in policies affecting children and the communities in which they live. At that time, AO4E and a coalition of allies won funding from the City of Los Angeles  for crossing guards at 65 additional elementary schools in the 2015-2016 school year. In 2016, AO4E members participated in the successful campaign to pass Proposition 55 to maintain funding for California public education.
