Hughes Taylor and Jackson Stokes The Crimson Moon ALL AGES Hughes Taylor Jackson Stokes A great double artist show with local blues sensation Hughes Taylor and world touring artist Jackson Stokes Hughes knew from age thirteen that music was his life’s purpose. Locked away in his room, Hughes practiced for hours on end by playing along with his favorite guitar heroes, and soon began writing his own material. By age fourteen he was recording demos in his parents’ basement, while simultaneously developing his live act by playing anywhere anytime with anyone. Before he could legally drive, Hughes was performing professionally and by the time he started college, creating and performing music was his primary source of income. Hughes released his first full-length album of original songs, Hear My Melody, in the spring of 2016. After graduating with honors in marketing from University of North Georgia in late 2017, Hughes released his sophomore album, Restless, just before marrying the love of his life in 2018. In the summer of 2019, The Hughes Taylor Band released a blues album of classics that had influenced Hughes, lovingly arranged and interpreted by him, called Good Blues, Fast. The Hughes Taylor Band is a blues-rock power trio reminiscent of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, and Cream; inescapably influenced by Hughes’s hometown heroes, the Allman Brothers. Consequently, long improvisations and jams are a staple of any live Hughes Taylor Band performance. In January of 2020, Hughes and his band toured the United Kingdom supporting the Heather Findlay Band. Gaining immediate popularity and positive music press reviews, the trio returned stateside right when the pandemic halted all tours and local performances. Fortunately, Hughes was able to record the last few shows of the tour to put together the Live in the UK album that was released in early 2021. With three studio albums and a live album under his belt, Hughes released his fourth studio album, Modern Nostalgia, showcasing his growth as a musician, songwriter, and producer. Written during the pandemic and recorded at the legendary Capricorn Sound Studios, the music on the new record is a sweet mix of blues, blues-rock, and southern rock; a modern successor to the great music that put Capricorn on the map many years ago. Modern Nostalgia is OUT NOWJackson Stokes is a guitarist, singer, and songwriter born and raised in St. Louis. Since playing his first professional gig when he was 14, he has played all over the world, including the US, UK, Europe, Argentina, Australia, and Mexico. He currently tours nationally and leads his own band, The Jackson Stokes Band. He has toured all around the world with artists such as The Devon Allman Project and Tonina. Besides playing, he has been featured in Guitar Player Magazine, and he has co-writes with many artists. His latest co-write on Devon Allman’s Ride or Die, debuted at Number #1 on the Billboard Blues Charts. Jackson has shared stages with legendary acts such as Gary Clark Jr., Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, The Wailers, and many others. Hughes Taylor Jackson Stokes
