Description

Social influencer/Writer Maui Bigelow and multicultural brand Carol’s Daughter celebrate the beauty and brilliance of black women. Maui Bigelow and Carol’s Daughter are kicking off the 8th annual Life Styled Honors, with an exclusive dinner & award experience, Black Women Are Lit dinner. The celebration of beauty and brilliance is happening on Thursday, August 12, 2021, in Atlanta, GA at Slush Atl (downstairs). Hosted by influencer, writer and women’s advocate, Maui Bigelow, Black Women Are Lit celebrates the hard work, dedication, and impact of Black women, while also creating awareness and fostering culturally responsive conversations that empower, highlight, and elevate us, our contributions, and our work in the world. Our honorees for the evening include Carol's Daughter founder, Lisa Price; community activist Tamika Palmer, and posthumous honoree, Tamika’s daughter, Breonna Taylor, who tragically died at the hands of Louisville police officers in March 2020. The night will also feature delicious food, drinks, and cocktails, conversation, music, and inspirational mission moments from partners and sponsors, and more! And of course, safety is important so Covid-friendly protocols will be enforced. Attendance to this semi-formal requires all black attire event. Tickets are $200 with a portion of each ticket sold being donated to The Breonna Taylor Foundation, a foundation designed to support causes the 26-year-old cared about, such as youth programs and scholarships for students pursuing careers in health care. Maui Bigelow’s mission is pretty simple – to create a path for bold, beautiful women to shine, grow, and glow in both personal and professional brilliance.
