Community Overdose Prevention Training, RX Take Back & Narcan Kit Distribution
In collaboration with the Charleston Center and Mt. Pleasant Police Department, WakeUp Carolina welcomes you to our Overdose Prevention Training, RX Take Back & Narcan Kit Distribution event presented by Caitlin Kratz, MSW, LISW-CP, CACI, Program Administrator of the Opioid Treatment Program at the Charleston Center.
The training will be held Wednesday, August 11th at 6:00 p.m. at the Town of Mt. Pleasant Municipal Complex, located at 100 Ann Edwards Lane, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464
You will learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose, the steps to administrating Narcan nasal spray, and how to save a life. Participants who complete the training may receive a free overdose prevention kit containing 2 Narcan nasal sprays. In order to receive your free Narcan, you must be registered through this Eventbrite link.
This overdose prevention training is recommended for anyone at risk of an opioid overdose, friends or family of someone at risk, healthcare providers, social services providers, law enforcement and emergency response providers.
Our Narcan training is free of charge, but we do ask you RSVP via Eventbrite so we can plan accordingly. Narcan kits will be available immediately after this completed Narcan training
