Evening Social for action centered connections featuring a performance by Bobby Watson and art from the African American Artist Collective Join members of the AAAC as they explore society’s moral compass, propaganda, and ensuring a more accurate representation of Black men . The African American Artists Collective’s Testimony: The Misrepresentation of Black Men and Boys is a ten-month series of conversations dedicated to information, respect, and progress. We will gain insight from Black men and boys about misrepresentation and what it takes to navigate the real world, maneuver through negative situations, and maintain a healthy mental, physical, and spiritual existence. Each daytime conversation (1:00-2:30pm) is followed by an evening social (7:00-9:00pm) that connects individuals and organizations dedicated to making progress on the topics discussed. The August 12th evening social will include a live performance by Bobby Watson and art from the members of the African American Artists Collective.
