Girls in grades 6-8 are invited to this bilingual bike program in English and Spanish at Brackett Field Park. Girl Scouts River Valleys invites you and a special woman in your life to Learn from biking specialists at Bici Xicas about simple bike maintenance and repair, understand the basics of road safety and trail etiquette, followed by a group ride facilitated by experienced staff. Participants should know how to ride a bike but do not need any additional prior experience. Bikes and helmets will be provided for the group ride. This program was made possible through the collaboration of Three Rivers park, Bici Xicas, and Girl Scouts River Valleys Latina Engagement program. It is taught in English and Spanish and will be primarily taught outdoors. Each registered girl in attendance will receive a gift bag and a biking patch for participating. Each registered family will receive lunch at this event! Who: For girls entering grades 6-8 (fall 2021) and their parent/guardian (woman guardian preferred). Parents/guardians must register and be present with their girl(s) during the event. *You do not need to Girl Scout member for this event.
