Description
I was on a forum where a lot of landlords were talking about it.
What a crap show, Biden is a disaster and either so senile to not know what he is doing or actively trying to weaken the country.
Here are comments I remember
1. Most landlords are not rich mega slum apartment owners with thousands of units. Many are retired and are renting 1-2-3-4 houses at best as their income. Some are active military…a common technique is to buy a home and rent it out as they move around the world in their career, when retiring they will have one home paid off to live in.
2. Landlords are hurting financially. Their renters are refusing payments and relief money is not being compensated from the government.
3. Renters are NOT hurting financially. Many are getting more money on unemployment now than on their previous jobs and yet not paying rent. Many landlords described renters buying TVs, cars, boats, luxury item and living rent free. Landlords have no legal action to follow and are helpless.
4. MANY landlords indicated they will be selling their units. Ironically this will hurt low income Americans as availability of cheap rentals will become scarce. The current housing bubble might pop then as thousands of rental units go up for sale at once.
5. Huge realty companies and land companies will likely make huge profits buying up rental units in such a popped bubble.
Amazingly some said Biden is acting unconstitutionally as the moratorium was supposed to end on July 31 and only Congress could extend it.
Just like Biden is ignoring his constitutional obligation to protect us by opening up the borders.
