NEWTON, MA — Two students from Newton shared their industry scholarship and research projects at the Lasell University Spring Symposium, which was held at the end of the spring 2021 semester. This year's symposium, "The Invention of Now," gave students an opportunity to share their work with the greater community. The Spring Symposium is one of two research symposia held at Lasell on an annual basis. The following students from Newton presented at the Lasell's 2021 Spring Symposium: Natalia Essigmann shared an Honors Program presentation on the digital publication Laser Focus and the role of digital media in connecting people through stories. Fred Gjerasi studied various aspects of personality from a psychological perspective and presented a resource designed to help others achieve happiness or fulfill a goal in their lives. Gjerasi explored the connection between extraversion and happiness.Lasell University, a private school located in Newton, Massachusetts, is known for helping students make the connection between classroom lessons and real life through hands-on activities and projects.
