FOUND: Long-haired gray cat

FOUND CAT: large, gray, longhaired cat without a collar, near the intersection of Broadway and Spokane Dr. in Everett this morning (8/5/2021). The cat was hit by a car and sadly did not make it. My best guess is that the cat passed away earlier this morning. As best as I can see, the cat didn't have stripes, and had a lighter colored underside. The face might have been a darker shade of gray, but it was hard to tell. These photos are of similar cats found on google. I've removed the cat from the road so it won't be further damaged by vehicles, and I plan on taking it to the vet tonight to check for a microchip. If you know whose cat this might be, please send a photo my way so I can help check and see if it's the cat I found. This cat didn't look like a stray - it was very big, fluffy, and probably well-loved, and I'm hoping to help give the owners some closure.
