Warehouse Associate needed to start immediately! Edmonson Electric, the premier Residential Electrical Contractor in Central Florida is seeking a Warehouse Person to work out of it's Lehigh Acres Branch. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, have excellent attendance, be reliable, and have a verifiable work history. Experience in a warehouse setting is a plus, but not required. Immediate opening for right candidate, must be able to pass background check and drug screen. Job Title: Warehouse Associate Department: Warehouse Direct Reports: Warehouse supervisor and/or Director Indirect Reports: Director of Construction Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate will accept incoming shipments, oversee general organization of the warehouse and other related duties. Supervisory Responsibilities: • None. Duties/Responsibilities: • Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database. • Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products. • Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments. • Confirms availability of items to be sent out by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items. • Pulls material from shelves for packages for the crews. • Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of material as needed. • Scans out material using an app daily. • Operates forklift truck as needed, after passing training. • Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports. • Performs other related duties as directed. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology. • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures. • Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • At least two years of work experience in a warehouse required. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting. • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times. • Ability to move around the warehouse.
