POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – The following information comes from the Point Pleasant Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and those arrested on criminal charges. Updated information may be available from the Ocean County Clerk. Everyone named on this blotter is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt. May 31: Officer David Ippolito charged Daniel Devito, 32, from Bloomfield, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, reckless driving, and speeding. June 3: Officer Michael Cappello arrested John Broskey, 21, from Brick Township, on an arrest warrant out of Wall Township. June 5: Officer Jesse Waterson charged Eric Specht, 25, from Branchburg, with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, reckless driving, and having an open container of alcohol. June 8: Officer Christopher Henrich charged Kevin Bernstein, 27, from Brick Township, with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, reckless driving, and careless driving. June 18: Officer Ryan Barker charged Arnold Palmer, 50, from Marietta, Ohio, with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and careless driving. Mr. Palmer was also arrested on an arrest warrant out of Brick Township and an arrest warrant out of the State of Maryland. Mr. Palmer was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility on the active warrants. June 20: Officer Matthew Ippolito charged Krista Marino, 52, from Point Pleasant, with harassment, a petty disorderly person's offense. Officer Robert Tobias, as a result of a motor vehicle accident investigation, charged Elizabeth Heinemeyer, 47, from Toms River, with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, operating under the influence with minors in the vehicles, reckless driving, and following too closely. June 22: Officer Ryan Grohowski charged Jarrett Sansone, 19, from Point Pleasant, with third-degree burglary and third-degree theft due to an investigation into a burglary of a residence and the theft of medication. Mr. Sansone was released on a complaint summons per bail reform, pending court. June 23: Officer Michael Cappello charged Lacey Auriemma, 37, from Point Pleasant, with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, and reckless driving. June 28: Officer Mark Maloney charged Christopher Woszczack, 30, from Brick Township, with defiant trespass, a petty disorderly person's offense, and disorderly conduct, a petty disorderly person's offense. Mr. Woszczack was released on a complaint summons per bail reform, pending court. June 29: Officer Jesse Waterson charged Cristino Bautista, 39, from Point Pleasant, with third-degree theft, as a result of an investigation involving a stolen cellular telephone. Mr. Bautista was released on a complaint summons per bail reform, pending court. July 8: Officer Gene Capoano charged Dylan Bates, 28, from Point Pleasant, with possession of drug paraphernalia, a disorderly person's offense. Mr. Bates was released on a complaint summons per bail reform, pending court. July 19: Officer Robert Tobias issued a summons to Jake Card, 23, from Point Pleasant, for a violation of the borough's animal restraint ordinance due to Mr. Card's dog running loose in the neighborhood. July 20: Officer Matthew Ippolito charged Amanda Peterson, 20, from Queens, NY, with the third-degree unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Ms. Peterson was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility per bail reform, pending court. July 22: Officer Matthew Nickerson charged Robert Centeno, 54, from Point Pleasant, with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, careless driving, reckless driving, throwing objects from vehicle, and failure to drive with an interlock device on the vehicle. Mr. Centeno was also arrested on arrest warrants out of Point Pleasant, Brick, and Atlantic City. Mr. Centeno was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility per bail reform, pending court. July 24: Officer Mark Maloney charged John Carne, 51, from Point Pleasant, with fourth-degree unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and fourth-degree obstruction of the administration of law. Mr. Carne was released on a complaint summons per bail reform, pending court. July 26: Officer Robert Tobias charged Brittany Headley, 41, from Point Pleasant, with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, reckless driving, failure to report a motor vehicle accident, and leaving the scene of an accident. July 29: Officer Christopher Phillips charged Kelli O'Neill, 59, from Point Pleasant Beach, with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, reckless driving, and an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. Aug 4: Officer Matthew Ippolito charged Jake Kopack, 21, from Point Pleasant, with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree bias intimidation, simple assault, a disorderly person's offense, and harassment, a petty disorderly persons offense. The arrest and charges result from an investigation of an incident at the Conoco gas station on Route 88 involving a female victim attempting to get gas when Mr. Kopack walked by, approached her vehicle, and began yelling racial slurs. Mr. Kopack then reached into the open window of her vehicle and began assaulting the victim. Mr. Kopack was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility per bail reform, pending court.
