Refuse/Recycling Carts Coming This FallEach household is scheduled to receive a 96-gallon refuse cart and a 64-gallon recycling cart. Larger households can pre-purchase an additional 96-gallon refuse cart and seniors may opt for a smaller 64-gallon or 32-gallon refuse cart and/or a 32-gallon recycling cart. To purchase an additional 96-gallon cart or for seniors requesting a smaller cart, visit the Cleveland Heights website by July 27. Drive-Through Food Distribution at Community CenterThe Cleveland Heights Community Center is partnering with the Cleveland Food Bank to be a distribution point for The Farmers to Families food box program providing farm fresh food to Cleveland Heights residents in need. The next distribution date is July 22 at the Community Center, 1 Monticello Blvd. Those interested must call 216-691-7377 in advance to reserve your box since supplies are limited. More GardenWalk Cleveland Heights July 17-18GardenWalk Cleveland Heights is an annual, free, self-guided tour that introduces visitors to the beauty of the city through the variety of residents' gardens on July 17 and 18 from noon to 5pm. Cleveland Heights Welcomes Two New RestaurantsSmoke Dee's Kitchen opened last weekend, growing from a food truck to a restaurant at 1433 Warrensville Center Road. Lake Erie Ink 6th Annual Teen Anthology on SaleCongratulations to Cleveland Heights-based Lake Erie Ink (LEI) for their sixth annual Teen Anthology, which showcases the talents of Cleveland-area teens while also educating them on writing. Lake Erie Ink's teen editorial board gathered submissions of original teen writing and compiled them into "On the Other Side." This anthology can be purchased starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 22 for $12. To celebrate the release, LEI is hosting a virtual reading at The Inkubator through Zoom.
