A Per mile tax on personal vehicles: Hidden on Page 508 of the Infrastructure Bill Is a Plan that may make it too expensive to drive your car. The proposal says that the “Secretary of the Treasury shall establish, on an annual basis, per-mile user fees for passenger motor vehicles, light trucks, and medium- and heavy-duty trucks.” The fees will be faced on environmental impacts as well as other concerns. God only knows what they will do if they have free rein.
