Job Type: Full-time Work Hours: A Shift Monday - Friday from 5:30 a.m. to completion. We are looking to fill this position immediately. Pay Rate: Starting at $18/hour (dependent on experience), plus full health benefits and retirement package Regional Distributors, Inc. is one of the largest distributors of commercial cleaning, food service, paper, and packaging products and equipment in Western NY. We are looking to immediately hire an experienced Day Warehouse Receiving & Picking Associate to join our enthusiastic, service-orientated team. The ideal candidate will possess experience with warehouse operations and receiving inbound product to meet the company’s productivity and quality goals. The candidate should also possess a strong work ethic and strong attention to detail. Qualified candidates must have the physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs., have experience operating hand jacks and stock pickers, and MUST have receiving and stocking experience. Only candidates with receiving and stocking experience will be considered. MUST be punctual to arrive for shift and good attendance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS -- Receive inbound product from vendors with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to overall details. Must be able to accurately count product by skid loads, individually and at time in irregular bundles. -- Stock product accurately in the correct locations within the warehouse. -- Transport merchandise (using body, tools, work aides, machinery, or special devices to move, carry, guide, or place objects or materials.) -- Operate various equipment including lifting apparatus, hand jack, stock picker, two-wheel dolly, hand truck, and forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, palletize, or move products. -- Physically lift, move, carry, and place products on shelves, racks, etc., as well as load and unload delivery trucks. -- Constantly inspect goods and packaging for defects and damage. -- Pick and fill orders as directed. -- Actively listen to, report, and resolve operations concerns. -- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment. -- Maintain general knowledge of company’s product offerings, operations, and goals. REQUIREMENTS -- RECEIVING AND STOCKING EXPERIENCE A MUST. Only candidates with this specific experience will be considered. -- We are looking to fill this position immediately. -- Strength Rating: H = Heavy Work. Ability to exert 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 75 lbs. of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. -- Experience operating hand jacks and stock pickers a must.
