Description
Cheap Trick tribute looking for someone who can handle Robin Zander's power, range, and delivery, as well as put on an energetic, engaging, enjoyable, and memorable show. We are looking for that missing piece (the most important piece) who can elevate us among the very best of Cleveland tribute bands. Rhythm guitar a big plus, but not mandatory. And this doesn't have to be your only band, we just don't want it to be your fourth, fifth, or 17th band!
Cheap Trick has had plenty of hits and is among most rock fans favorite bands, but has been largely ignored by radio. Every song was built to be rocked live and they are all so much fun to play. Cheap Trick music is timeless and right at home on any stage and for any fans who love live rock and roll. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are still at it 45+ years later and this past Spring, released their best album in years.
We three (drums, guitar, bass) are veteran musicians from Cleveland's west side, focused on this project for a little while now. We are not a strict note-for-note, look-alike band, but honor the early music of Cheap Trick by keeping it fresh and exciting as we bring it forward for new audiences, as well as longtime fans. We are clean, reliable, and easy to get along with. We usually practice weekly and are looking to gig once per month (or slightly more) in Northeast Ohio.
We are also interested in a few covers of rocks songs (from all eras) to fill out the third set or as a possible companion band. The idea is popular songs (overlooked classics) that are not being played to death by everyone else and are plausible that Cheap Trick did or might have done them (Day Tripper, Rebel Rebel), or other songs that we love to play.
Please respond to discuss this idea further and maybe set up a time to meet and jam.
By the way. we are also interested in a vocal/keyboard - possibly female, but doesn't have to be - who can help with harmonies and open up more of the 80's and newer songs.
