(click here) OR check us out on YouTube: At BMC, the exemplary Field Crew Leader is a reliable mentor, who oversees the smooth, efficient, and correct performance of the Millwork Install crew(s), while maintaining and upholding commitment to the continuous quality improvement process. Major Responsibilities: Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Assign duties and maintain time and production records. Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of crew. Train associates in proper procedures and techniques. Read and understand plans. Ensure that installations are completed per specifications. Operate tools, equipment and machinery as required. Perform activities of workers supervised. Demonstrate a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement. Identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers. Participate as a team player in all phases of the organization. Open and responsive to change. Personally, provide customers with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service at all times. Comply with all Company policies and procedures. Adhere to the Company’s safety standards and enforce safety regulations. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills: Minimum Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and to the general public. Ability to utilize Excel or a calculating device to compute mathematical calculations necessary for the tasks assigned. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of framing variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. May require valid driver’s license. OSHA Safety Training required. May require trade certification.
