Chippewa County is accepting applications for the Program Consultant position within the Public Health Department – Western Regional Center. The job duties of the Program Consultant include but are not limited to: represent and support parents and children with special health care needs in the development and implementation of public health programs and to assist families, providers, and other professionals who serve families of children with special health care needs with information and referral to resources for ongoing health care.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Two (2) years of experience dealing with the public. Experience in advocacy and/or working directly with individuals and families to determine needs and making referrals to appropriate services preferred. Parent of a child or youth with special health care needs strongly preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Starting Wage: $14.95 - $16.44 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $20.55 per hour.
