It would be awesome if he knows how to do both painting and bodywork. Payments will be commission or we can do it by the hour, which will be based on your experience. Join Our Team Today! *Job Responsibilities: -Assessing and analyzing the damaged areas to prep for painting. -Help Preparing the correct color tint to match the proper paint color. -Maintaining the work area in a clean and orderly manner. -Perform other duties as assigned by management. -Be Responsible. -Be Organized. -Plan work procedure: follow the work order for all operations listed. -Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window, and seat operating equipment, and trim to gain access to the damaged area of the vehicle if needed. Store parts on small plastic bags and cover to eliminate potential damage. -Do damage body by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts; insure all gaps and fits are to industry standards; remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills; and bolts or welds replacement parts in position and reassemble after parts are painted. Operate various hand and power tools (e.g. welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.). -File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces with 120-grit paper before turning the vehicle over to the Paint Section. Repair or replace defective parts. *Qualifications: -You need your own tools. -References are needed. -Certifications preferred. -Resume. -5+ years of experience working in a body shop/repair. -Valid drivers license -Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission. -Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear. -Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb. -Ability to lift 1-15 pounds. -Have your own transportation.
