Description

Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of a designated contract or project to ensure that goals or objectives of the contract or project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times for each phase of construction; directs workers concerned with major maintenance or reconditioning projects for existing installations; and orders procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules. Discusses procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work to prevent delays; and assists superiors in resolving complaints and grievances within work force. Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods; inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules. Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports; ensures the timely collection of timesheets, reviews, and approves timesheets; and ensures all personnel adhere to corporate safety procedures Other duties may be assigned.
