I am selling twenty-one regular mowing accounts and the side jobs associated with them. I have twenty-one lawns, each needing weekly maintenance, except for a few that are on a bi-weekly schedule. The lawns are mostly small subdivision lawns that I have mown with 21" walk behinds, averaging a lawn per hour and an average wage of $30 per hour (gross). The lawns span east-west from Vista Ave. in Boise to Can Ada in Nampa, and span north-south from Foothill in Star down to Victory in Meridian. I also have one big account in Emmett, where I spend a day per week mowing and doing side jobs. I have a wooden 8'X4' with two walk behind mowers which I have used over the past couple years and would be willing to sell, I tow this rig with a Toyota Sienna. Both mowers work well, I have a Honda and a Toro. The self-propelled on the Honda is broken but the Toro's self-propel works very well. These mowers are not fancy, but have worked very well for me over the years. The rest of my time is spent doing odd jobs for my clients. I can pretty easily fill six days a week between mowing and odd jobs. I charge my clients between $25-$30 per hour for my work. The odd jobs can include anything from cleaning out flower beds, to installing paver patios, to knocking down weeds. I have good relationships with all my clients and can give a good reference for each of them. I tend to think this would be a good business for someone looking to get into landscaping and mowing. The amount of work is very adjustable as you can take on or turn down as much work as needed. It may also be a good option for someone wanting to add a couple accounts to their weekly mowing route. My hope is to make any transition as smooth as possible for the clients and the buyer, as such, I am happy to take time to get the buyer well situated in the lawn jobs and the clients comfortable with the buyer. In 2019, I made approximately $20,000 and in 2020 I made approximately $23,000 while working from roughly March to October in both years.
